A man met a woman. 一个书生遇见一位女子.

He could not bare to part with her, and lingered there on the river bank. 他无法忍受与她分离，于是便在河畔驻足徘徊.
Then abruptly she took her leave, saying that she needed to see an old friend. 突然她说需要离开去见一位老朋友，
and returned soon-after with a strange man. 很快便带着一位神秘的人回来.
"I can come with you now", she said.她说，“我可以跟你回家了”.
"what is changed?", he said, "who is that man?" 他问：“发生了什么？这个人是谁？”
"The River God", she said, “他是河神. ”
"I pleaded with him especially. I can come with you for ten days" 她说：“我特意求他准我过河，之后我能伴你十日. ”
and so they crossed the river so that they can mourn together. 他们过了河，并一起回到家中服丧.
and after ten days, she left him.十天后，她离开了他.
