What does it mean to be an artist?
I've been asking myself this question for the last three years,
and it doesn't get any easier to answer.
But I do know is an artist is not a performer, a producer or a celebrity,
because all three of those things can be replicated. They're replaceable.
I think an artist is what inspires someone
who pushes the narrative forward in their own direction
using the foundation laid by others or other artists,
I remember when I started making music,
I was really inspired by an artist,
12 hours a day just plucking away at my laptop
and biking to the internet cafe for Wi Fi.
Like,I really like making music
and I found out it's how I wanted to express myself.
That story to me is what it means to be an artist,
because I'm the only one that can tell it.
I've heard that in a few years, all the music I make is just gonna be replaced by AI.
But I can't actually happen to an artist
cuz no matter how cool or accurate that song is,
that makes it's not my song or my story or the conversation that I'm having with you when you listen to my music.
It's just my data reinterpreted.
I'll never be able to tell another artist's story,
but I can be inspired. Then literally did tell mine.
So tell your story and make something meaningful
because it takes a long time to make something that can't truly be replaced.
So after three years, here is my data, here is my unreplaceable, here's my wireframe.
