We came in from Sydney,
dived through the clouds,
into a wounded city,
between hope and doubts
We wanted to escape
from the „rat race“
and immediately thought
we might wanna stay
I wish we had a second life
there on the other side
I wish we had a… second life
Up the costal road
passing a seals parade,
to the Able-Tasman
and the City of Sails.
Beautiful Men O'War,
vineyards by the score,
laid-back, hippified Raglan -
grooving and moving in the sun
I wish we had a second life
there on the other side
I wish we had a… second life
Sailing the Tasman Sea
or just sitting on „Waiheke“,
jumping out of planes,
catching the surf in Raglan.
Sundown at „Aroha Bay“,
there's nothing quite the same.
I wish we had a second life
there on the other side…
I wish we had a second life
there on the other side
I wish we had a… second life
We have seen so much
but so much is still to be seen
Glow-Worm-Caves
and some wild Kiwi
We have seen no whales
but some heavy rain,
our end of a rainbow
all the same...
I wish we had a second life
there on the other side
I wish we had a… second life
