St. Vincent De Paul's - Gold Star
As the crimson and rose
Sunlight got to fade in
And it caught up in flash from the glass
That she held in her hand
And it seemed like
She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders
Good good
And in the morning you'll learn how to carry that weight again
So she made up her mind
To pick up the pieces and get straight
Like the Swiss blade I bought
St. Vincent De Paul's downtown
She'd pick up the letters
She'd pick up the page
She'd put a coat on
She'd say
Thanks for your time but now I must be on my way
And if you really feel that way
And there is nothing really nothing to say
And the blade's just a thing you don't need
Would you send that Swiss blade back to me
Would you send that Swiss blade back to me
Well the crimson where gone
We we're still there in the darkness
And the evening worn on
We all found it harder to leave
She said hand me the bottle
And hand me the blade
And darlin' ain't it strange
That I must be leaving that
I'm so sick of living this way
If you never see my friends
For the lacks in the city again
Not just someone you don't wanna to see
Would you send that Swiss blade back to me
Would you send that Swiss blade back to me
